Eyelash Lift & Tint

An Eyelash Lift is a process whereby the lashes are curled to achieve a long term look.

You can think of it as a perm for your eyelashes.

Typically an Eyelash Lift takes approximately 25 minutes.

What is an Eyelash Lift

A Lash Lift curls the lash from base to tip.

Every lash has its own natural shape, so for your lash technician to give you the desired shape you want it is necessary, she has to use a curling rod and lifting solution to curl your lash. Your eyes are closed during this process.

Most of our clients also take to the opportunity to also tint their eyelashes at the same sitting. Typically lifting the lashes takes 40 minutes and tinting 40 minutes. If both procedures are done together, this total time reduces to approximately one hour.

There are three different size curling rods, which one that is suitable for you all depends on the size of your natural lashes.

Once your lash technician and you are happy all the lashes have been curled and are correctly positioned, then a setting solution is applied which stets the lashes into this position.

Typically, you can expect them to maintain this shape for a period of 4-6 weeks.

In order to care for your lashes after the procedure it is very important that no mascara is applied for at least two days if you are not going to get them tinted. Also for the following 24 hours your lashes must not get wet or come into contact with makeup.

Eyelash Tinting – What you need to know

Eyelashes Tinting is no different than what you would do if you were getting your roots tinted. The dye will darken and add definition to the eyes. The only difference between lash dye and hair dye is that it is safe to use around the area of the eyes.

The process typically takes between 40 to 50 minutes to complete.

The main benefit of an Eyelash Tint is that it is a semipermanent process that replaces the need to apply copious amounts of mascara, looks 100 times more natural (No Clumps).

Typically the lashes will maintain their darken look for approximately 4-5 weeks, after which you will have to get your beauty technician to reapply the dye.

The best way to extend the life of the lash tint is by staying out of the sun (always recommended for many reasons) and avoiding any harsh products being applied to the lashes.
